about

A track I wrote a while ago, now being used as a theme song (one of two!) for Corypha Talarath, one of my D&D characters. Corypha is a warlock with ties to two powerful forces: Thassa, the goddess of the sea, and a mysterious sea monster lurking in the dark corners of the ocean.

This track explores Corypha's contentious relationship with the sea and its goddess, Thassa. While many of Corypha's kind revere Thassa, for her it is not as simple. Through an unfortunate series of events, Corpyha's undersea village has been destroyed by the sea goddess herself and Corypha has unwillingly become her oracle. Now, she finds herself on the surface world, bound to perform Thassa's bidding. Much like Thassa herself, the sea that was once Corypha's home offers both comforting familiarity and unknown dangers.
